Kindness Leads the Way

Be kinder than seems necessary because every person
you meet is fighting some kind of battle. You never
know what may be happening in their life. Extra
kindness might help them make it through that
very day. To keep on trying; to keep putting
one foot in front of the other; and to have
just a little hope that things will get
better. That someone might care
and that maybe God has not
forgotten about them.
All because you
were kind.

And then let's be kind to ourselves also.

Sometimes we need the very things

that we gladly give to others.
Things like love, hope,
acceptance and
kindness.
With hope,
Cynthia K.

  1. Hi Cynthia!

I love this post, it's so beautifully written....we don't ever know what others are going through, you are so right. And I so agree about doing things for ourselves.

Thank you so much for your lovely comment the other day on my blog - that made me feel great...THANK YOU!!

And...."we haven't even swept together"....I LOVE that....my kind of joke LOL!!

    Have a lovely day,

  2. I love this too and certainly believe it. Many people are going through trials and you'd never even know it. We have to be careful out there - what is that saying - not to judge others unless you walk miles in their shoes?

  4. Hi Cynthia,
Thanks for stopping by my blog. I'm glad you liked the monogrammed coasters. I got my letter "H" off my microsoft works program on my computer. I just opened up a blank document, and browsed through the different fonts.
But you can also go to google images and type in the letter H to get some pictures. Or google "free fonts".
    Hope that helps!
    Blessings,
    Traci

  7. Cynthia,
What a lovely blog you have. This post is especially heartwarming, as we can all try extra hard in life to be helpful. It doesn't cost money to be kind! Thank you for popping over to my blog and becoming a follower. I appreciate that, and now I have discovered you and your sweet sentiments.

  8. Hi Cynthia.....thank you for becoming a follower recently......in answer to your question about my tree.....well....I planted it about three or four years after we bought the house so it is approx 20 years old. The original tree there was 80 years old and got struck by lightning and we lost it. This little volunteer oak was in the backyard flower bed and when i pulled it out as a weed, I just couldn't toss it.....soooo, here it is in all it's glory....a wonderful tree with such a wonderful memory......your post is sweet....ihave that very comment about my cash register and try to remember it when people come in and are less than nice......you just never know what someone has on their plate, huh? Enjoyed your visit and will stop back by again soon...xojana

  10. Hi Cynthia, what a wonderful post this is. So important to remember. It's so easy to get caught up in our own "little world" we forget what others may be going through.

    Blessings,

  13. Lovely post! I'm glad I followed the link over here to read that some one else is still trying to spread kindness and to be kind. I loved this post...I ask this question If everyone wants it why is so hard to find or be that way...I know the answer biblically...but it still boggles the mind. The same goes for Love and Peace.
    Hugs,
    Terri

  16. Cynthia: I was popping over to get a link to send my readers here, and read this post for the first time. This is so true, and so true this time of year. There are so many people right now that may not appear to be stressed by the economy, but who cannot even manage presents for their children this holiday season. I hope we all keep our eyes and ears open and our words compassionate. We may be able to help a neighbor who really needs it.

  18. Cynthing, I just loved this post the first time I read it...it made me cry beacuse it is so true...I am finally commenting on it today but didn't re-read the entire thing because...well I knew I would cry again, but I wanted to let you know how much I loved it, and tell you that when someone is nasty to me, that I don't even know, before I become quick to judge I will stop and think before I respond in kind and remember that sometimes a laughing face and happy demeanor doesn't always mean that person is happier than you, because sometimes they have heartbreaks too, they are just trying to deal with it as best as they can...just like everyone else...no one persons life is perfect or painfree. it is good to rememeber that. Thank you, besos, Rose
